Project Summary

This new barracks complex in Ft. Lewis, WA will house 408  recovering soldiers.  The primary design objective is to create a tranquil, health-promoting living environment.  The two 4-story buildings are arranged in a courtyard configuration, with a total of 220,000 sq ft and architectural detail that provides a residential feel. The site design incorporates a landscaped courtyard and amenities such as a sand volleyball court, basketball court, picnic areas and fitness stations. A set of covered accessible walkways provide pedestrian circulation between the barrack and the nearby medical facilities.  LEED Silver certification is pending.
