TranSystems

Marinas, Piers, and Wharfs

TranSystems is one of the pre-eminent firms providing maritime master planning in the United States and abroad – we were involved in the master planning of 65 of the 90 deep-water ports in the US. TranSystems is committed to providing market-driven solutions to the development of industrial and waterfront properties. Once a market is established, TranSystems’ master plans site facilities to effectively respond to the marketplace, enhance the surrounding community and optimize our clients’ return on investment. TranSystems’ in-house professionals from various disciplines work side-by-side to identify and address differing perspectives – a practice we believe leads to optimal solutions.

Bringing to each project a thorough understanding of the marine environments – tides, currents, and wind and wave conditions – TranSystems’ marine engineering teams have the industry knowledge to complement their expertise in designing marinas, launch ramps, “greener” dredging solutions, and other marine structures. Port authorities, federal agencies, counties, cities, and private sector clients consistently select our firm for our design, engineering, regulatory/permitting, and construction management expertise.

Additionally, our staff is knowledgeable of the local, state and federal regulatory requirements that impact marine projects. We understand all aspects of public projects including existing facility restoration and enhancement, new construction, stakeholder and public involvement, permitting, and funding. Our experience with public waterfront construction and rehabilitation projects allow us to develop accurate cost and schedule estimates and prepare effective contract bid documents.
