Project Summary

This four-mile relocation of the UPRR bypass along the western border of the airport allows for an expansion of the runways serving the world’s busiest airport. TranSystems’ design met all FAA requirements for Part 77 Clearances, Runway Protection Zones, and Object Free Areas and covered subgrade, track, bridges, viaduct/grade separations, impacted utility systems, grading, and stormwater drainage, along with railroad access roads, yard lighting and signals.
