TranSystems announced the promotion of Jeffrey Lackey, PE, to Associate.
Lackey has 14 years of experience, and technically specializes in project management for roadway and urban freeway projects. He has been the project manager for some of the Wichita office’s most challenging projects, including the Kansas Star Casino Interchange in Mulvane, Kan., and he is currently managing the design of the East Kellogg freeway expansion from Greenwich Road to 127th Street east that also includes a new interchange with Kansas Turnpike Authority (I-35) in East Wichita. He also serves as the Area Manager for the Wichita, Kan., and Independence, Kan., offices of TranSystems.
Lackey’s promotion was part of an annual process determined by the firm’s Partner Performance and Development Committee (PPDC) – a committee that was formed in 2003 to refine TranSystems’ leadership development standards by identifying a process for selecting the company’s future leaders.
As a nominee for Associate, Lackey was ranked on three measures of performance 1.) client relationships and sales, 2.) management and operations, and 3.) specialized skills or subject matter expertise.
“Jeff possesses outstanding technical and management skills both with our clients and internal staff. I have confidence he will be an excellent Associate and business partner,” said Brett Letkowski, TranSystems’ Principal in the Wichita office.
Lackey has extensive design experience with roadway and freeway expansion projects. He has been with TranSystems for 13 years and was previously employed by another consulting firm prior to joining TranSystems.
“I am truly honored to have received this nomination and promotion to Associate at TranSystems,” said Lackey. “I truly believe that this accomplishment doesn’t happen without the support of an exceptional team of design professionals within our firm who are committed to providing quality projects and services to the clients we serve. I’d like to thank TranSystems for allowing me the opportunity to lead such a fantastic team of professionals on some of the most challenging projects we have in the area. I am truly blessed.”
