TranSystems announced the promotion of James Fisher from Senior Associate to Principal.
Fisher has more than 25 years of experience in real estate, including right-of-way acquisition. Most recently, he has been focused on broadening client relationships in the Ohio and Pennsylvania areas. He has guided the firm’s real estate practice and client management efforts in those areas developing real estate groups in the Cleveland, Columbus, Youngstown and western Pennsylvania offices. His knowledge extends from highway and transit related services to aviation and utilities.
Fisher’s promotion was part of an annual process determined by the firm’s Partner Performance and Development Committee (PPDC) – a committee that was formed in 2003 to refine TranSystems’ leadership development standards by identifying a process for selecting the company’s future leaders.
As a nominee for Principal, Fisher was ranked on three measures of performance 1.) client relationships and sales, 2.) management and operations, and 3.) specialized skills or subject matter expertise.
Bob Campbell, TranSystems’ Principal in the Columbus office said, “Jim encompasses all of the attributes of a Principal. I don’t know anyone who works harder and is more dedicated to TranSystems, his clients, and his profession than Jim Fisher. He sets a very high standard.”
Fisher has extensive experience with real estate and right-of-way, especially in the areas of title, appraisal, acquisition, relocation, closings, property management and project management. For the past three years, he has served on the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Real Estate Task Force and has been a vital part of making significant changes in fees, policies and procedures with the Department of Transportation’s Office of Real Estate.
“I am extremely honored to become a Principal with TranSystems,” said Fisher. “It is an opportunity to continue my leadership role within the firm, committed to the financial success of the company and the mentoring and development of our staff, and servicing our clients with a quality product.”
Fisher earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. He has been a member of the International Right-of-Way Association for the last 13 years.
