Anthony Albert, PE, has been promoted to Principal.
Albert has 22 years of engineering experience in the construction management of large, complex roadways and structures. He has held a number of leadership positions with the firm including Construction Team Leader and project manager for some of TranSystems’ largest construction management projects. Most recently, he has been focused on building client relationships and leading construction management projects in the Chicago area, including the City of Chicago’s Wacker Drive Reconstruction, I-90/94 Ohio Feeder Bridge Replacement, Kennedy/Dan Ryan Expressway Viaduct Replacement Program, and the Chicago Tunnel System Inspection and Management.
Albert’s promotion was part of an annual process determined by the firm’s Partner Performance and Development Committee (PPDC) – a committee that was formed in 2003 to refine TranSystems’ leadership development standards by identifying a process for selecting the company’s future leaders.
As a nominee for principal, Albert was ranked on three measures of performance 1.) client relationships and sales, 2.) management and operations, and 3.) specialized skills or subject matter expertise.
“Tony is a proven leader in Chicago and the Great Lakes Region – having been successful in a number of leadership roles in the company – from project manager and team leader to client manager and his most recent position as Senior Associate,” said Martin Ross, Principal in the Chicago office. “He has helped to grow and manage the firm’s construction management program in the Chicago area, making TranSystems one of the leading construction management firms in that area.”
Albert has extensive experience in all aspects of construction management and construction program management.
“I feel honored to be nominated for the position of principal,” said Tony. “I look forward to working with others within TranSystems to support the overall company vision and to continue to foster our commitment to our clients.”
Albert earned his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. He is a registered professional engineer in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Florida and New York and is on the City of Chicago liaison committees for both the Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association and the Illinois Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies.
