Control Measure Analysis

Control measure analysis is the identification and evaluation of cost effective methods for reducing emissions and ambient concentrations of atmospheric pollutants that affect public health. Air pollution control measure analysis is one of our core competencies. Our work in this area includes developing portions of EPA’s Control Cost Manual. The Control Cost Manual provides information to assist air pollution analysts in selecting appropriate control technologies, size the equipment for a selected technology, and estimate costs.

TranSystems has evaluated control measures covering a wide array of sources and has provided information about the costs and effectiveness of these controls. We have also developed user-friendly software tools such as AirControlNET to assist air quality analysts in evaluating the costs and effectiveness of a wide range of control options.

We regularly serve a wide variety of clients including, US Environmental Protection Agency, Environmental Canada, many US state agencies, and the Western Regional Air Partnership.
