John Grow
Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer

John Grow, PE, serves as a Principal and Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer with TranSystems. He has more than 30 years of experience in the planning, design and management of a wide variety of transportation projects and programs encompassing both the public and private sector.

John started with TranSystems in 2000 and helped grow the DOT and municipal practice serving as a national leader. He is responsible for the expansion, development and the success of the firm’s business development efforts and of the company’s top line and market sectors.

He is a principal with the firm and has held a variety of regional and national leadership positions with the firm, most recently as the states and municipalities market sector leader. He also serves as an advisor to the board of directors.

Prior to 2000, John Grow served the Ohio Department of Transportation for 10 years. He has had direct involvement in the planning and design of over 300 miles of interstate highways, has a firm grasp of state and federal requirements, procedures and preferences, and can quickly analyze alternative design concepts or develop innovative solutions within these constraints.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from The Ohio State University. He resides in the Orlando, Fla. area.
