The 15,500 sqft Fire Station 7 at Courthouse Bay is a part of the $1.7 billion Hurricane Florence Recovery Program. The Fire Station includes six apparatus bays, sleeping and living quarters for the emergency service personnel including a full cooking kitchen and dining area, a fitness center, includes dispatch, an office, and meeting areas as well as support spaces such as on-site laundry facilities and vehicle maintenance area. The facility was also designed with an emergency storm shelter to provide protection of emergency services personnel during extreme weather events.
TranSystems was the Designer of Record for four of seven buildings/sites that are part of Hurricane Florence Recovery Package 5. Fire Station 7 is the first of the Pkg 5 facilities to be completed.
