TranSystems worked for the City of Roxboro to develop a Strategic Streetscape Plan for the Uptown District. Vehicular circulation, walkability, and pedestrian safety were priorities for this plan. Streetscape, public art, and wayfinding signage are among the elements that will contribute to creating a welcoming experience in the Uptown District. The goal of the project was to assess existing conditions and develop a Master plan for Main Street and Lamar Street. This Master Plan will influence the design of a safe, comfortable environment for pedestrians and motorists throughout the Uptown District.
