The Enoch Pratt Library is a 7,500 SF historic library of which the exterior is protected under the State of Maryland Historic Trust Easement program. The project scope called for the interior renovation and exterior adaptation to bring the building up to code under the ADA and current building codes.
TranSystems (formerly WBCM) provided architectural services and coordinated the civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering services for this library renovation. The renovation of the building included refurbished and new windows, ADA access, millwork, furniture, finishes, lighting, new electrical and HVAC systems, signage, and furnishings. The extent of work to the exterior of the building included a new ADA-compliant ramp, new entry and stair, exterior lighting, and reconfiguration of the historic fence and gate system.
