Scott Bennett, PE, has joined TranSystems as Government Market Sector Leader.
He brings vast experience in developing and leading strategy for all aspects of transportation services, including strategic planning, program development and management, fiscal planning and management, alternative delivery, and business development and communications.
As a past director of the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT), Bennett directed and led all planning, design, operations, and administrative functions of ArDOT, which included 3,600 employees, over 16,000 centerline miles of highways, and a $2 billion annual budget.

Bennett most recently served as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Growth for another consulting firm where he was responsible for directing and managing business development, marketing, and communications efforts across the company. While there, he also led the marketing and operations for the company’s Florida region.
This previous experience paired with his connections throughout the industry make Bennett well-equipped to drive success in our Government Market Sector.
Bennett has served in several leadership positions with the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Executive Committee. He holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Arkansas.
