TranSystems conducted a study to recognize that the Consolidated Rental Car (ConRAC) facility is one element of the preferred landside alternatives of the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Specific Plan Amendment Study (SPAS) and; therefore, must coordinate with the planning studies currently being conducted for the Intermodal Transportation Facility and the Automated People Mover (APM). The scope of the study included programming of the rental car facility to identify a preferred location for the building; roadway and vehicular circulation improvements; identifying acreage requirements; informing the client as to its options on construction phasing; cost and sequencing for future development, and a study of the redevelopment in the remaining Manchester Square property.
