Mark IV Parkway Final Design and Construction Services

TranSystems prepared schematic and final designs for Cantrell Samson/Mark IV Parkway widening which included reconstructing 900 LF of Cantrell-Sansom and 2,700 LF of Mark IV Parkway from a 2-lane section to a 4-lane divided section. When the plans were approximately 60% complete, a developer approached the City about accelerating Mark IV Parkway portion of the plans so it could be constructed at the same time as a proposed adjacent 1.44 million sqft distribution facility. TranSystems split the plans into two packages: 1) Mark IV Parkway; and 2) Cantrell-Sansom and the roundabout. We worked closely with the developer to coordinate the roadway, drainage and utility plans, and expedited the Mark IV package from 60% complete to construction-ready in 30 days. A multi-lane roundabout for the intersection of Mark IV Parkway and Cantrell-Sansom was designed to accommodate a WB-65 truck and minimize the amount of ROW that needed to be acquired.
