TranSystems (formerly WBCM) is providing subject matter expertise, project and program management lead, and technical support to the Maryland State Highway Administration where TranSystems oversees day-to-day operations of the SHA’s in-house GIS team composed of MDOT SHA State employees and consultants from TranSystems and various other GIS and Engineering consulting firms. Daily duties consist of utilizing MDOT SHA’s COTS technologies consisting of Esri’s ArcGIS Online (AGOL) platform and product suites. TranSystems provides oversight, direction, and technical expertise for over 100+ projects in just the past 5 years for MDOT SHA and MDOT TSO (Transportation Secretaries Office) for both GIS and non-GIS centric projects working directly with maintenance/field workers all the way up to high-level decision makers.
