TranSystems is providing architecture and engineering services for the expansion of Virginia Railway Express’ (VRE) Broad Run facility. VRE is making significant investments in the customer experience and railroad operations for the Broad Run Station and Maintenance Facility through an expansion of the existing facilities. This undertaking is an opportunity to not only improve VRE operations and maintenance functions, but it will also provide customers improved parking/access as well as expanded service. This investment allows VRE to continue its high level of service well into the future while improving operating conditions for VRE commuters, Amtrak services and Norfolk Southern freight trains.
